The Westside area is not commonly known as one of the best places to find historic homes in Long Beach, California.  For those buyers looking for cute historic properties built in the 1930's and priced under $500,000 this is a great place to look!  A good example of this is a brand new listing that just came on the market and located at 2272 Webster Ave and built in the Spanish architectural style. Built in the Spanish Colonial Bungalow style is a two bedroom, one bath home listed for $449,000.  It features a gated entrance, front porch, vaulted ceilings, original wood floors with 1,311 square feet of living space.   The home have has been beautifully resorted with a detached two car garage and located next to a large park area.

The most expensive Long Beach homes sold in 2015 are featured here.  Two of the top three Long Beach homes sold in 2015 where located in water front communities of Naples Island.  Long Beach has a nice variety of homes that sit next to the Alamitos Bay area which leads out to the Pacific Ocean.  The third highest sale was located in the upscale Park Estates neighborhood. The South Newport complex in Long Beach, California is located at 363 Newport Avenue in the popular Belmont Heights area.  This is a small complex of 60 units that are situated in an approximate 10 block radius to the beach.  The one bedroom condos are very well priced with one current unit offered at $254,900.  Some of the highlights found here include a private balcony and an open floor plan that combines the kitchen and living spaces.

The building provides subterranean parking, individual laundry room and a front reception area.  The homeowners association dues are kept low and currently run $230.00 a month.  The dues include use of the community pool, barbecue area with pets allowed based on certain restrictions.  The building is not FHA or VA

The Pacifica at 150 The Promenade in Long Beach is one of the newer condo buildings in the downtown area of Long Beach.  The complex was built in 2008 and offer one to three bedroom units that span up to 2,180 square feet of living space.  The location is ideally located near the cross streets of 4 street and the Promenade.  The Promenade is a popular spot that is home to other nearby condo buildings with great restaurants and shopping.  It's an easy 4 blocks away from the beachfront street of Ocean Blvd and the Long Beach area.

Some of the highlights found in these condos can include 10 foot ceilings, Promenade Park views, hardwood flooring, private outdoor patios, inside laundry and assigned parking spaces.  The amenities that can be found here are

The Park Lido condo complex is located at 3707 East Livingston Drive and just a couple block to the beach.  The building sits next to the cross streets of Livingston Drive and Ocean Blvd which is the street the runs parallel with the ocean and sandy beach.  The complex was built in 1970 and features one to three bedroom units in a secure gated entrance as pictured below.  This is a four story building with a total of 21 units with select units offering views of the Pacific Ocean.  The complex offers assigned covered parking in the community garage with lots of storage.

The building offers a community laundry with monthly association dues of $434.00 a month which includes water, trash, building insurance and the gated entrance.  This is a prime location

The Spinnaker Coves community offers a unique location that offers both water front and interior townhouses located next to the Long Beach Marina.  Situated next to the Spinnaker Bay neighborhood is a large complex of approximately 350 homes that were built in the early 1980's.  The large majority of these condos are three to four bedrooms with some smaller two bedroom units as well.  Condos located along the waterfront street of Azure Way will be located next to the water and can offer private boat docks as well.  Boat docks will average around 37 feet and come with select units in the complex.  These are some of the most sought after units in Spinnaker Coves and in the last year have sold for slightly over $1,000,000.

The Windward Village community is breaking ground as it's in the midst of converting manufactured homes into a planned unit development of single family homes.  Condo conversions are very common as owners will take a duplex or multi-unit building and turn them into individual condos.  The same kind of conversion is happening here except the manufactured homes are being converted into single family homes.  The concept seemed a little foreign to us but there have been over 90 homes that have already been converted over.  This change is sure to boost property values and is a big financial surge for the community.

The location is really ideal for those commuting to work outside the area as the neighborhood is ideally located near the 405 and 710 freeways.

The Bixby Terrace area covers an approximate 9 block radius from Cherry Ave to Orange Ave and north of Bixby Road and south of Carson Street.  Homes located in this area are often single level homes that offer three to four bedrooms and normally under 2,000 square feet of living space.  The area is just south of the Bixby Hills  and Bixby Knolls area and north of the 405 freeway.  Many love living here since the location offers easy freeway access and within close proximity to local shopping and schools.

Real Estate prices for single family homes is often found in the mid $500,000 to low $700,000 range with residential condos in the low $200,000 range.  The area is not under any homeowners association as homes were custom built here in the 1930's, 40's

The Versailles condo building is located at 2601 East Ocean Blvd in the Belmont Heights area of Long Beach.  This is an 8 story high condo building that sits direct on ocean front street of Ocean Blvd with unobstructed views of the Pacific Ocean.  There are a total of 87 units found in this complex with one, two and three bedroom floor plans to choose from.  This is a true iconic building in the Long Beach area that dates back to 1973 when it was first built.  At the time it was one of the largest high rises in the Belmont Heights area with commanding ocean views.  Today it still remains a prime location to view a view condo that's ideally located just blocks to the downtown Long Beach area.

One of the true upscale condo buildings located on the sandy beach in Long Beach is the Meridian complex.  The condo building is rich in history and dates back to the early part of 2001 when it was first built.  The goal was to provide a world class resort style condo complex with the finest in building amenities in views.  In recent years the Meridian has undergone a multi-million dollar facelift, with some of the finest amenities that consist of a fitness room that overlooks the beach, ocean view swimming pool, hot tub, outdoor fireplace, sundeck with barbecue area, clubhouse and guarded reception.  The building lines famous Ocean Blvd which is home to some of the best beachfront condo buildings in Long Beach, California.
