One of the most sought after things for condo buyers is having high vaulted cathedral ceilings.  These are often very hard to find in hi-rise condo buildings as the ceilings heights are often a standard size throughout the building.  The best places to look for condos with higher ceilings are those in smaller complex's which are often found on the top penthouse level.  We did a quick search for condos the fit this criteria and found that there are several condos on the market for sale right now that feature nice vaulted ceilings.The large majority of these condos are located in the downtown area of Long Beach.  You won't find these in the buildings that line the coastline but typically in more intimate buildings located a couple of blocks away from the

Coronado Park at 1414 Cornado Avenue in Long Beach, California is a small condo complex with one and two bedroom condos.  The condos will average around 840 square feet of the two bedroom units and 526 for the one bedroom condos.  The condos themselves were built in 1987 and offer open floor plans that combine both the living room and kitchen spaces.  The units tend to be light and bright with lots of natural light coming in to the condos.  The complex features a dedicated laundry room, assigned parking spots with some ability to purchase additional parkings based upon availability.  These usually run $15,000 for an additional parking spot and $7,500 for additional storage unit.

Mystic Cove is a great place to find spacious two bedroom condos in the $300,0000 range in Long Beach.  The location is ideally situated north of the Belmont Heights neighborhood and near the Circle Area of Long Beach.  The complex is secure and gated which is one of the bigger selling points for these condos.  One inside the complex there will be three different floors of condos with the most desirable units located on the upper level.  One of the reasons for this is that these penthouse units offer high vaulted ceilings combined with a gas fireplace and outdoor patio.  The kitchen is located as you enter the unit with a small breakfast bar and dining area.  The Master Suite bedroom tends to very spacious with a double closet and outdoor patio.

Located just the downtown Long Beach area is a four story condo building called Magnolia Place that has long been a favorite for those looking for a newer construction building near the water in Long Beach, California.  Magnolia place is located at 535 Magnolia Avenue and was newly built in the year 1990.  The builder at the time wanted to build a Mediterranean style complex that would house one to two bedroom condos in a secure gated environment.  If you are not looking to be in the heart of the downtown area this is the second best location that's just blocks to the beach with easy freeway access on to the 710 freeway.

One of the best places to find one and two bedroom condos in the $300,000 to $450,000 range is "The Palms" condo complex in Long Beach, California.  Dating back to 1990 when this small neighborhood of approximately 125 condos that are all located within a secure gated community just outside the "Circle Area" in the eastern section of Long Beach.  The builder built a variety of one and two bedroom floor plans that are often centered around the community pool and spa are.  It's FHA approved for buyers looking to put down just 3% as a down payment and carry the rest as a loan but is currently not approved for VA home buyers.
