it's not surprising to learn that the most expensive homes sold every year tend to be located on Naples Island in Long Beach.  This has been true this year for the calendar year of 2018 where 2 homes sold over the $5 million dollar price point on Naples Island.  The large majority of homes that sell for top dollar on Naples Island are those that are located facing the water front that often have their own private boat docks.  The Island is surrounded by waters of the Alamitos Bay that leads out to the Pacific Oeaan with large bay front properties that average around 5,000 square feet of living space.

The most expensive home sold in 2018 was located at 19 N Sea Isle Drive that sold for $7.2 million and closed escrow earlier this month on 11/16/2018.  The property was originally listed at $8,150,000 on 5/18/18 and then lowered to $7,950,000 and then to $7,500,000 when it was taken off the market on 9/02/18.  It was then put back on the market on 11/10/18 for $7,500,000 and then lowered down to $7,350,000 which caused the home to sell.  It was located in a gated community within Naples Island known as "Treasure Island which is home to only 8 luxury homes.  19 N Sea Isle Drive was completely redone in 2016 and came with 2 boat slips and 2 side ties for the boating enthusiast.   Some of the highlights included imported 400 year old limestone fireplace from Malta, custom movie theater, vaulted ceilings, gourmet kitchen with top of the line appliances and an infinity edge jacuzzi.  The really interesting part of this listing is that the seller was willing to carry a loan for 10 years with 40 percent down amortized over 30 years at 4.5% interest rate.

The best part about living on Naples Island is the prime location near the borders of Huntington Beach and Long Beach.  The surrounding area offers a good variety of restaurants, shopping and outdoor activities.  Naples Island homes currently start at $925,000 and go as high as $4,795,000.  The more expensive homes will be bay front properties while the lower end will be non-view homes.  To learn more about Naples Island in Long Beach, Calfifornia please contact any of our local agents at 562-355-8228.
