The Westside area is not commonly known as one of the best places to find historic homes in Long Beach, California.  For those buyers looking for cute historic properties built in the 1930's and priced under $500,000 this is a great place to look!  A good example of this is a brand new listing that just came on the market and located at 2272 Webster Ave and built in the Spanish architectural style. Built in the Spanish Colonial Bungalow style is a two bedroom, one bath home listed for $449,000.  It features a gated entrance, front porch, vaulted ceilings, original wood floors with 1,311 square feet of living space.   The home have has been beautifully resorted with a detached two car garage and located next to a large park area.

Homes from this era are also sometimes eligible for the Federal Program called the Mills Act.  The Mills Act is a program to help historic owners save on property taxes so they can re-invest that money back into their homes.  This keeps these beautiful historic homes in good condition and also is a significant savings on property taxes which normally can range over 1% of the purchase price.  It is uncertain if this property qualifies for this program but it's worth checking.  For those looking for a historic property in Long Beach there are many great historic neighborhoods that include Rose Park, Bluff Heights and Bluff Park area that features beautiful Spanish, Bungalow and Tudor style houses.  Please call us at 562-355-8228 to start your search with one of our skilled local Long Beach Real Estate agents.  The link below showcases all the historic homes currently for sale in Long Beach, California.
