The location of the community is ideally situated just minutes to the beach and near other historic districts like Bluff Heights, Carrol Park, Belmont Heights, Belmont Shore and Bluff Park. Some of the older homes in this area may be eligible for the Federal Mills Act program which is a huge selling point as it's gives current homeowners a reduction on property taxes. This is one of the first things we look for when looking at historic properties since the tax rate in California tends to be very high at 1% of the purchase price not including city taxes. Any reduction in taxes is very welcome and we highly recommend inquiring about this with the current owner. Most homes built before 1950 may be eligible.
